Lauren Bowker

This talk was very insprirational and really encouraging. It was very interesting finding out about her collaborations from such a young age, and really the way she was pushing the boundaries and moving with the time.

Helped to encourage our initial worries about starting unit x and wanting to explore new techniques, her talk was very inspirational.

It really helped me to not neccessarily worry about our outcomes, but to enjoy the whole process that we were starting.

Andrew Brooks

I thought the talk today by Andrew Brooks could link to our work with his whole idea of his'hidden project' around manchester, just as we decided to look at the idea of hidden gems.

DJ David Haslam

Our group went to the David Haslam talk, where he was talking about marginal and mainstream in our society. We found his talk quite helpful as he mentioned not to look/find the obvious try to be more marginal in our work. He also spoke about "hidden gems" and how he would DJ in places that were marginal that people werent able to find. This gave our group an idea to look at hidden places in manchester and start from there.
