A little bit of inspiration...

I found a few links from the Philippa Wagner Blog and came across a few designers that processes really stuck out at me, in particular this one of an Icelandic designer whose choice of material was of even more interest...

These images are a few I found from one of his collections named 'When Gravity Fails'. The garments are made from 27 black birds and 27 still born lambs. Although maybe the materials seem slightly far fetched I quite like the idea that (particularly with the sheep skin pieces) they look quite normal but actually with further interrogation has a lot more to it and a story behind it. This links in quite nicely with our brainstorm of ideas today and hopefully could give us some ideas for development!
