When you walk into the gallery this is what you will see first, a piece of work called 'Light Curtain' by Liz Rideal. Its a film and light installation. An animation sequence is projected onto the material. Her work transforms familiar and commonplace objects into strange and seductive imagery, with drapery frequently performing as the subject of a piece.
The flow of the material and the silent film playing really gives a sense of peacefulness and serenity, its almost like the fabric is breathing in and out.
Could we use this idea somehow? Projecting images onto fabic or something moving?
